Recycled battery material will be a significant part of developing a sustainable and secure domestic supply chain of critical battery minerals, essential to energy storage and electric vehicle manufacturing in the US.
Aqua Metals commenced with commissioning the pilot facility in October of 2022 and became operational in December 2022.
This pilot is the world’s first sustainable lithium battery recycling operation and the first in North America able to recover all critical minerals from spent batteries at commercial scales.
